You are warmly invited to the book launch of Rob Yule’s latest book, The Holy Spirit as Person and Power, which explores the implications of charismatic renewal for mainstream theology.
Venue: Cafeteria, Hope Presbyterian Church, 27 Amyes Road, Hornby
Date: Monday 9 March, 7.30–9.00 p.m.
The Holy Spirit as Person and Power takes what has been learned in the dynamic experience of charismatic renewal, shows how this opens fresh insights into what the Bible says about the Spirit, and challenges the major branches of the Christian church to re-examine their theological understanding of the Spirit in the light of these developments. It is a rich, learned and prophetic work of theological integration, a testimony to the Spirit’s inspiration.
The book has its origins in Rob’s dramatic experience of the Holy Spirit during his ministry in Hornby in the early nineteen eighties, so it is fitting that a book launch can be held there, supported by his friends Murray Talbot—who wrote the Foreword—and Murray Robertson—who wrote a commendation.
Copies of this and Rob’s other books will be available for sale. The Holy Spirit as Person and Power is selling for an unrepeatable early-publication author discount for $30 (paperback) or $45 (hard cover).
